Ján Sudimák, a breeder, dog trainer, international judge for conformation and performance, breed survey commissioner and long-time member of the Slovak Union of German Shepherd Dog Breeders' board, has written a book after 50 years of experience — a tribute to the German Shepherd as an extraordinary dog.

Theauthor presents the history of the breed's origins in both, Germany and Slovakia. The book offers a detailed overview of 26 of the world's most renowned bloodlines, clearly structured in the contents. These descriptions are accompanied by approximately 2,000 photographs of breeding dogs in show stance. Dogs are listed alphabetically and by pedigree, making it easy to find images of males or females you may own.
A highlight of the author's decades-long breeding journey is an extraordinary achievement:at the 2024 WUSV World Championship, out of 140 competing dogs, 60 carried bloodlines ofthe Eqidius kennel.
